While you can check out the details about this deal at the DiGi site, it is seriously slow, so much so that you may have to wait 80 to 475 minutes before you get redirected. Refreshing will not help as it means you'll just get assigned to a new slot, probably longer than the one you were at, so just chill and wait a little. OPPO N3 review

OPPO N3 1.jpg
After months of teasing images and videos, mostly from OPPO themselves, the OPPO N3 has officially been announced. Featuring an automatic (as in self-tracking) motorized rotateable 16MP camera that rotates with the subject at hand the OPPO N3 is the latest flagship smartphone from OPPO. In terms of design, it looks like a mish mash of the OPPO Find 7and the OPPO N1 with an in between sized 5.5-inch display. The main highlight of the OPPO N3 remains the camera though as the 16MP sensor is 1/2.3" large with a 1.34 micrometer pixel size, so you can get great low-light shots. IT also uses Schneider Kreuznach lens and utilizes the same photostitching feature for 64MP panorama shots. The camera also features slow shutter, ultra macro mode, after focus, RAW support and a new O-Click remote control.

After the Oppo N3 cameraphone, the company unveiled its first 64-bit smartphone, which is coincidentally also its thinnest yet. The Oppo R5 measures just 4.85mm thick, the "slimmest phone in the world," Oppo claims. The company has shaved quite a bit of thickness compared to the 6.3mm Oppo R3.
The frame of the phone is made of 3D-welded aluminum alloy. The frame has been hand-polished and measures just 4mm thick. The other measurements are 148.9 x 74.5mm (that's rather tall for a 5.2" device) and the weight is 155g.

Motorola publishes Android 5.0 Lollipop update tracker

When it comes to Android 5.0 Lollipop, users are excited to see it power their phones. As such, manufacturers are trying to deliver the update as soon as possible, and, while at it, share as much information as they can on the process, and its status, with their customers. Whether that’s on social media outlets — like LG recently did with announcing an Android 5.0 Lollipop update timetable on Facebook for the LG G3 and the LG G2 — or in the shape of rumors and reports — like in the case of the purported Samsung Galaxy S5 Android 5.0 Lollipop update expected in December — it’s all about satisfying a user base (customer base), as software updates are part of the manufacturer’s phone support policy and activity.
Motorola has a different approach to all of this. The company is well known for its commitment to delivering updates in a very timely manner, which is something that might either be buried deep in its DNA, or something inherited from its Google-owned days (before Google decided to sell to Lenovo). An update tracker for the Android 5.0 Lollipop refresh has been officially published on the Motorola Support page, where users can check the status of the refresh at any time.
Phones included in the tracker are basically almost the entire 2013 and 2014 line-up, from the most recent Moto X and Moto G, to last year’s Moto X and Moto G, Droid models which are currently offered in the US as carrier phones, some tablets, so it’s safe to assume that if you have a relatively fresh Motorola smartphone, it will be listed on the tracker mentioned above (and sourced at the link below). However, not all of them will be eligible to receive the latest iteration of Google’s mobile operating system: the two Moto X (original and second generation), and the two Moto G (original and second generation) phones are on the shortlist, and so is the Moto E, and a couple of Droids.
Using the tracker doesn’t necessarily revert with exact information (in case of the second generation Moto X, the information is rather vague: “This device will be upgraded to the Android 5 Lollipop release of Android, pending partner support”), but, as Motorola puts it, the list and information within “will evolve over time, so check back for changes”.

A new report is stating that the Google Nexus 9tablet

A new report is stating that the Google Nexus 9tablet will be jointly launched by Mountain View and manufacturer HTC on October 15, which is just one day prior to the big Apple event that’s apparently poised to see the launch of new iPad models. The 9-inch surprise from Google is sort of a taunt aimed at Apple which has been selling tablets of the same size since quite a long time.
Aside from the increase in the display size, the new Nexus tablet supposedly will also see a rise in its price. While pure Android products from Google are known to have low price tags, the company will be straying from that route it seems, as this new slate is expected to cost somewhere around $399.

OPPO preparing to launch a super-thin phone alongside the N3 flagship

The teaser image shows a couple of devices partly hidden behind curtains. One of these is definitely the N3, whereas the other one, according to the GizChina report, could be something completely different, something unique.
If latest rumors are to be believed, the Chinese firm is preparing to unveil what could be the next device to take the “world’s slimmest phone” crown with a 4mm-thin body. We can’t really ponder a device this thin, but could easily imagine that it’s easy to break. Moreover, we would assume OPPO had to accept some compromises while making such thin device; so — presuming this device actually launches — we expect it to target mid- rather than high-end of the market.
In related news, the OPPO N3 will apparently rock a rotatable camera that, this time around, will have a rotation motor engine. We’re not sure about the underlying hardware, but we do expect this to be one of the best phablets money could buy. For one thing, it will definitely be the best selfie-taking phablet, ever (since you’ll be relying on the same camera for both “regular” photos and selfies).

Some major retailers are not keen on supporting Apple Pay

Some merchants are even disabling or modifying the NFC readers in their stores in order to shut out Apple Pay. The reason behind the move is called CurrentC - a payment system backed by retail heavyweights, which aims to cut off debit or credit card processing fees by taking money directly from a user’s bank account.
CurrentC is set to launch next year alongside a dedicated app for Android and iOS. In addition to making payments, the app will also serve as a platform for retailers to offer promotions to consumers.
The list of CurrentC backers is rather extensive. It includes Walmart (the largest retailer in the world), Sears, Kmart, Bed, Bad & Beyond, and just about every major US gas station chain among others.
Time will tell if CurrentC itself will end up being a success. For the time being however, Apple seems to have its work in the payment processing field cut out.

HTC One M8 on Verizon Android 4.4.4 update appears

It’s always good to be able to bring readers details of operating system updates, and today’s news is for owners of HTC’s flagship smartphone. The HTC One M8 on Verizon Android 4.4.4 update has now appeared, and also brings along the new Eye Experience that HTC recently revealed.
Android 4.4.4 KitKat will be a welcome addition for One M8 users, who are also likely to be interested in the new Eye Experience features that the new HTC Desire EYE comes with out of the box. The One M8 is the first other handset that HTC is pushing out Eye Experience for, as befits its flagship status.
Big Red hasn’t yet given a full changelog for this latest update, but as well as 4.4.4 KitKat the Eye Experience features include Screen Share for showing screen info to others in a video chat, Auto Selfie, Split Capture for a split screen during video capture, and more. The update is 210MB in size and has an estimated download time of 6 minutes.
Verizon advises you to charge your device during the update or you should have it charged to at least 50% before you attempt to download and install it. As usual with these kinds of updates this will be rolled out over several days so you may need to be a little patient. Alternatively you can check your device manually by heading to Settings followed by Software Update followed by Check New.
If you’re a Verizon customer with the HTC One M8 we’d be interested to know if you have already received this update? If so, what are your thoughts on the Android 4.4.4 KitKat and Eye Experience improvements and changes? Let us know with your comments.
